For nearly 120 years, the Auditorium Theatre has evolved, each decade ushering in a new challenge, and a new voice. From the operatic glory of its inception to the rock-an-roll concerts of the '60s and '70s, from a setting for the world’s most legendary musicals to the greatest ballets, the Auditorium Theatre has adapted and grown, but has always remained dedicated to providing the highest quality of artistic experiences while preserving the storied principles upon which it was founded.
While it continues to provide unparalleled ballet performances such as the Bolshoi Ballet and the Kirov ballet, it is ever mindful of the diversity and complexity of the surrounding landscape.
Current repertoire includes programs such as The Joffrey Ballet - American Legends, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Priscilla Queen of the Desert - Presented by Broadway in Chicago and River North Dance Chicago with Orbert Davis' Chicago Jazz Philharmonic - Havana Blue Co-commissioned by the Auditorium Theatre
